Kestrel anti-ligature fittings

We are pleased to announce the expansion of our Anti-Ligature range to include the Kestrel range of anti-ligature architectural fittings.

Having recently become accredited and trained installers of the Kestrel range we able to offer both installation and product sales of this innovative range of products.

The patented Kestrel system is simple and extremely effective. It will securely hold a range of items by powerful short range magnetic attraction. When an abnormal load is applied the magnetic force is overcome and releases its load. The system will perform like this time after time with no decline in performance and, as there is no mechanical restraint at all, nothing can jam, break or wear out. After an incident, all that is required is for the suspended item to be held immediately below the magnetic bracket or brackets whereupon the magnetic force will then raise the item and click it into its correct position.

For environments where persons are at greatest risk of self-harm such as mental health hospitals (including psychiatric wards in general hospitals) and places of detention (prisons and detention centres) the Kestrel system is often specified. In these areas the incidence of self-harm by ligature is a serious cause of concern. The Kestrel Magnetic Suspension System provides a highly effective means of greatly reducing this risk.

The range includes coat hooks, wardrobe rails, towel rails and other fittings to provide a reduced risk environment alongside our anti-ligatures architectural ironmongery items such as hinges, door handles and pull handles.
