Lockcases provide the interaction between the door leaf and the door frame to latch or deadbolt the two together. Different Lockcases provide different functions with regard to the locking of a door and how that function is activated. A number of other considerations such as the depth of the lockcase, the distance between the handles and the keyhole, the spindle size and the handing are all important factors in determining which lockcase is right for each door. Coupled with the lockcase selection are considerations of which key type to use to operate the lockcase and what ironmongery is suitable to use with it.
There is a lot to think about but we can help.
