Door Closers

Door closers can be surface mounted, transom mounted or floor mounted, concealed or non-concealed, hold open or non-hold open and have various strength ratings dependent on the force they are designed to impart on the closing cycle of a door.

Often when we are asked to replace a door closer on a site we find that the problem is not the door closer itself but the fitting of the closer. Properly re-fitted and adjusted the closers usually don’t need replacing and the problem is solved quickly and efficiently.

Not all closers are suitable for all door types and certainly they do need to be fitted correctly to be effective.
