Poyntell is a company built on experience and knowledge, tradition and innovation. From the origins of R Grout & Sons established in the 1950s to the Poyntell Ltd of today we can trace our heritage back across the decades.

We believe a service provider should have the desire and the ability to deal with the little headaches and hassles that the smaller issues can present alongside the effective management and implementation of larger project work. They should be knowledgeable, flexible, professional and easy to deal with. It is this belief and the commitment to deliver it that we feel makes us different; it is in this way that we feel we can offer better value as a service provider and resource to our clients.

We are able to deal with both the larger and the smaller aspects of your security requirements such as a key, a lock or window mechanism repair alongside a new automated entrance way, multi-site locking or access control system configured how you want it and in line with the latest standards.

We use technology and practicality to integrate systems so that the automation, entry system, locking system and access control works as one solution; or we just do one small thing, it’s up to you. This approach has seen us establish strong relationships with a wide spectrum of clients from the Emergency services to the NHS, from the Education sector to the Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural sectors.

It’s why all our engineers are Poyntell engineers, all directly employed, all experienced trained locksmiths, all ADSA accredited and all part of a service driven team.

It’s also why we don’t just offer what comes out of the box. Sometimes finishes need to match existing finishes, mechanisms need to be maintained or replaced in high risk areas, oversized or unusually heavy doors need automating, access control needs to be ‘invisible’ or a 100 year old lock needs to have a key made to operate it. The unusual is usual for us; it takes effort, knowledge, innovation and application but we do it so you don’t have to. Providing up to date advice and installations reflective of current standards is essential to what we do.

Our membership with the British Standards Institute (BSI) offers the assurance that in each of our core areas of activity any new standard or any amendment to an existing standard is issued to us automatically direct from the BSI.
